Podium has been a game changer on driving revenue to us at Imago Medical Spa. This includes every interaction we have with customers—from engaging with leads to converting them into customers to retaining them over time.
Here are three ways that we use Podium to help us make more money every day.
1. Build lasting client relationships.
At med spas, we pay a lot of money to be seen on Google. So it’s important to make sure that when we are found, we can then convert those clients who fill out the “Contact Us” from on our website. Then, it’s important we get in touch with those leads within about five minutes if we want to turn them into clients.
With Podium, this is made easy.
When someone fills out a contact form on our website, it automatically goes into Podium and I can access that lead information by desktop or, my favorite, the Podium mobile app. That’s where you can respond to someone immediately via text, since we all know that’s the quickest way to communicate with people. Within five minutes, I’m getting leads on my books for consultation.
So they come in for a consult, that’s great—that’s one of the biggest hurdles. But what do we do next?
After they leave the building, I send my potential customer an estimate over text through Podium. In that message, I recapture our conversation, tell them “Thanks for coming in!”, and they can view their estimate right there. I choose to spend an extra five minutes in Podium scheduling a future text message. So on Monday, for example, they’re going to get a text message from Imago that says, “Hi, I hope you had a great weekend. Did you have a chance to review the estimate we sent over? What day works best for you for your procedure?” These text messages are so key and so seamless.
From there, if my lead wants to make a purchase, I can send them a payment link through Podium. Again, they’re getting it via text message, so they’re able to go in, pay their invoice or pay on the estimate they received—and now, we have them as a client.
Lastly, after the customer comes in and has great experience, it’s time to send them a Google Review link so they can share their experience with others.
All within Podium, we’ve got the lead, shared the estimate, sent a thank you, and requested a review. Most importantly, we’ve built a relationship.
That’s exactly is what Podium has helped me do—build relationships authentically using their app, all via text message.
2. Use Podium in addition to our EMR system to convert more leads.
At Imago Medical Spa, we use Podium in addition to our EMR (Electronic Medial Record) system.
Now you may be thinking, “I already have a system that does this. I don’t want to duplicate another task on another platform—my EMR doesn’t all.”
Here’s the reason why I use it and how it’s been crucial to Imago Med Spa’s success.
We pay a lot of money to run Google Ads as many med spas do (it’s very competitive out there!). From those Google Ads, we get leads coming in through out contact forms. If you use an EMR, you have to log in to see the new lead. This is one thing during a 9am-5pm or 7pm shift, but after hours, I’m not logging on to my EMR to see who’s contacted us.
But with Podium and the mobile app, those leads, I’m notified of those leads coming in in real-time—even on my Apple Watch. Then, using the templates that Podium allows you to make, I hit “send” and the lead has been contacted.

The real kicker is what I see happens when our leads do receive any automated reply. They think, “Wow, this med spa still replies to me after hours!” And that does set you apart from your competition.
